Half Day Moon Press is pleased to announce the digital-edition release of John Martone's poetry e-chapbook Particles (HDMP NO. 18). Originally published as a print edition under the Half Day Moon imprint, it contains dynamic particle units of verse that combine or collide to create more complex and kaleidoscopic arrangements. [Reading tip: When viewing the pdf in double-page mode with the cover on the right, you may discover that many of the lines and verses communicate with lines and verses on the facing page. This lends itself nicely to overlapping readings.]

Martone is as prolific a poet as Robert Pollard of Guided by Voices is as a songwriter; and it is no wonder that my shelves contain more books from Martone than any other poet. One of his more recent endeavours includes a collection of poems he wrote in Italian. He also shines as a translator and editor. I am indebted to the Martone-edited online journal otata as it is a primary source of inspiration for Half Day Moon Journal.
